Frequently Asked Questions regarding our Home Renovations Business

Q. What is the difference between an estimate and a work order/contract?

A. Our estimates are submitted to you after we have met with you and reviewed your job request; they are a free no-obligation estimate. At times they are a work in progress estimate and sometimes for larger jobs they may even be a ball park range in pricing until we can further research your job and finalize it to a fixed price. A work order contract, when signed by both parties, is a legally binding contract. We offer the most detailed and comprehensive work order contracts in the industry. It is our firm belief that the more detail we provide to the homeowner, the more knowledgeable the homeowner will be with respect to their home renovation project. This puts the homeowner and contractor on a level playing field. Ultimately the homeowner ends up fully satisfied with the job with no surprises during the work being done. Happy homeowners make excellent referrals!

Q. What kind of guarantee do you offer on your work?

A. All work is guaranteed for 1 year unless otherwise specified. Where applicable, we will honour the manufacturer’s warranty, for example: all Moen faucet fixtures come with a lifetime warranty from the manufacturer, we will warranty the labour for one year and the faucet (the part) for lifetime; however, you will have to pay our labour charge after your one year warranty with us has expired.

Q. Who shows up at my house to do the work?

A. (95 percent of the time) Bob Assadourian is the first person you will meet and the last to leave your job... ensuring total quality control. He works at your job most every day of the week, monitors the job to ensure quality and has his hand in every single aspect of the job. We do not book jobs and sub-contract them out in their entirety. We only use sub-contractors for specific aspects of the job that we are not licensed to perform, for example the electrical and gas work. Even in these instances we are there during this work and monitor it closely, the sub-contractors are under our employment and under our directions and the homeowner will not have to worry about dealing with them.
